Day 1 Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be welcomed by Wanderlust representatives and transferred to Sarova Panafric Hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 & 3 Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, you will be picked up and depart for the dramatic semi-arid scrub land of the north Kenya (remote, beautiful and extremely dry) home to the pastoral Samburu, cousins of the Masai. You will arrive in Samburu National Reserve by mid-day. After lunch embark on a game drive to sight wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the rare blue legged Somali Ostrich. The Samburu still adhere to their traditional way of life as nomadic pastoralists, co-existing with the plentiful wildlife that ranges across this arid and beautiful landscape. Rest of the day at leisure. You will have morning and afternoon game viewing opportunities. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 4 Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, arrival will be in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Afternoon game drive is taken where you will have the opportunity to spot leopards, rhino and a variety of other wildlife. The lake itself is a soda water lake on the floor of the rift valley and it has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe, the black and white rhino, lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5, 6 & 7 Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru Lodge by 0730 hours for the incomparable Masai Mara National Reserve the world’s finest game reserves. Situated at the northern most tip of the vast Serengeti eco-system, the Masai Mara offers the most spectacular game viewing of any park in East Africa. The Mara covering 700 square miles is the Africa of movies and photographs consisting of large open grasslands dotted with acacia trees. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from the Mara plains, through the Mara River and into the Serengeti in Tanzania. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from July and August. You will also visit Masai Manyattas to learn more about the cultural traditions of the Masai. Optional hot air balloons safari can be arranged at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 8 Nairobi

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Nairobi, Arrival is time for lunch at Nairobi Panafric Hotel. Dinner at the Hotel, Then depart for the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the evening for your flight to the next destination.
